Drink & Drug Driving Programs

In groups, participants share their alcohol interlock experience, including: positive changes and share the challenges they encountered.

Participants revisit the behaviour change plan they completed before they got an alcohol interlock. They discuss potential risks of drink-driving when the alcohol interlock device is removed and develop strategies to prevent drink-driving in the future.

What is the Pre-Interlock Removal Program (PIR)
The Intensive Drink & Drug Driving Program educates participants on drink/drug-driving impacts and helps reduce re-offending risks.

Who must complete this program?
Anyone who has an Interlock Condition of their Licence. This program should be completed one more before you are eligible to have your Interlock Condition removed from your licence.

How long does the program take?
The program typically includes one 2-hour session online.

What do the sessions involve?
Participants engage in group discussions, personal reflection, and activities to build awareness and continue to build healthy habits after the Interlock has been removed.
